Step 3: Drilling

The glass next moves to a drilling station where CNC multi-head drills are used. Some drills have capabilities of drilling holes of the same or different diameters simultaneously, ensuring hole-to-hole accuracy. Other drills possess the ability to drill up to eight hole sizes with no tool changes. After it has been drilled, glass moves through a washing process, where it is washed in warm water with phosphate-free soap, then rinsed and dried.
